Prenuptial agreement
Prenuptial agreement
When a marriage ends, the assets that are not individual are shared between the parties after deduction of any debts. By having a prenuptial agreement, you can exclude individual possessions from being included in a future settlement. This means that you can decide how you want the property to be divided. For example, you can exclude an estate that has been owned by your family for generations.
Bear in mind that a prenuptial agreement can be drawn up before or after a marriage is registered. A prenuptial agreement is only valid if it has been signed by both parties and registered at the Swedish Tax Agency. We can help you make a prenuptial agreement.
